PAINTING PROJECT - Flowing in colour with Eurythmy

The body of works of this serie of paintings, arises from a deep impression produced in me after having attended the presentations of Euritmia of the 52 verses of the Calendar of the Soul of Rudolf Steiner, and music of Mozart, Bach and Skrjabin, at the Goetheanum in 2011.
The movements, through their forms, gestures and colours, made visible the cosmic-spiritual forces generated by the sounds. The subtly coloured fabrics that clothed the eurithmists produced a translucent stele that stayed in the air like a mobile flotation in space.
The whole place was filled with different tones of light that generated an almost atemporal atmosphere, like a great neverending.
At first, the vision of this universe of colour in movement, led me to produce a pictorial image in consonance with the constant becoming. I made use of the line to give testimony of something alive, in a continuous present; meanwhile, I took notes of the couterpoints of colour of the illumination. This first record constituted the basis from which the paintings emerged.
In these watercolour works is the intention of keeping the movement of colour related to sound, in a timeless space.

ABOUT THE EURYTHMY​

As from 1912 Rudolf Steiner developed the new art of movement “Eurythmy”.
She wants to create from the living source which lies behind poetry or music, making “ language or singing visible”.
Gestures for the sounds of language and the laws of sound in music, as well as forms for a movement in space, become expressive possibilities on stage for the spiritual in music and language.
